    banner image

    Who is the group for?

This psychoeducational group is for men in sexual recovery and includes those who may also have coexisting mental health diagnoses. This is a skills training class, NOT therapy. It is not meant to take the place of therapy; therefore, participants are expected to be attending regular individual therapy with a licensed practitioner.

Participants may be partnered or not. Most past participants were concurrently working on healing their relationships which have been damaged by their acting out and dishonesty.  Some participants have lost their primary relationships as a consequence of their behaviors.  All can benefit from learning these skills.

    What will I learn?

Mindfulness – Direct and sustain the focus of your attention intentionally & purposefully. Increase awareness.

Distress Tolerance – Get through difficult situations without making them worse by your reactions.

Emotion Regulation – Learn to recognize, identify, and name your emotions, and learn to manage the intensity of your emotions.

Interpersonal Effectiveness – Learn to have more satisfying relationships through listening, speaking & acting skillfully.
